What are Tixylix Cough Syrups for?

Our Tixylix Cough Syrups help to soothe and relieve the symptoms of children’s dry and tickly coughs.

At what age can my child take Tixylix Cough Syrups?

Tixylix Infant Cough Syrup, Tixylix Children’s Cough Syrup and Tixylix Children's dry and tickly cough 15% v/v syrup are suitable for children ages 3 months to 5 years.

How much Tixylix Cough Syrup can I give my child?

Doses may be given 3-4 times daily by mouth as required. Allow 3-4 hours between doses.

Do not give to children under 3 months.

Dosage size for children aged 3 months to 1 year: One 5ml spoonful.

Dosage size for children 1 year to 5 years: Two 5ml spoonful's.

How should I store Tixylix Cough Syrups?

Store out of children’s sight and reach. Do not store above 25°C.

What are the ingredients of Tixylix Cough Syrups?

The active ingredient is glycerol. Each 5ml spoonful of syrup contains 0.75ml of glycerol. Also contains: liquid maltitol. Read the enclosed patient information leaflet for the full list of ingredients, or visit the dedicated product pages.

Do Tixylix Cough Syrups contain Paracetamol?

No, Tixylix Cough Syrups do not contain Paracetamol.

Can Tixylix Cough Syrups be taken alongside other medication?

Although there are no known interactions between Tixylix Cough Syrups and other medicines, we recommend consulting with a Doctor or Pharmacist if your child is taking other medications and/or you are unsure.

What are the possible side effects from taking Tixylix Cough Syrups?

Like all medicines, Tixylix Cough Syrups can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Tixylix Cough Syrup may cause diarrhoea in overdose.

How do I report side effects of using Tixylix Cough Syrups?

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in the patient information leaflet.

At what age can my child take Tixylix Support Drops?

Tixylix Mult-Vitamin Drops and Bed Time Drops are suitable for children ages 3 months to 5 years.

What dose of Tixylix Support Drops can I give my child?

Infants and Children aged 3 months to 5 years old: Simply add 1ml per day to a drink (juice, water) or food. Shake well before use. 

Tixylix Multi-Vitamin Drops and Tixylix Bed Time Drops have been specially formulated for infants and children and are not recommended for adults.

How should I store Tixylix Support Drops?

Store out of children’s reach in a cool, dry place.

What are the ingredients of Tixylix Support Drops?

Tixylix Bed Time Drops provides the equivalent of 100mg of chamomile flower and 25mg of fresh lemon balm leaf in each 1ml of liquid drops.

Tixylix Multi-Vitamin Drops are developed with a blend of 9 essential vitamins including Vitamin A, D3, B12 and B6.
